About the Speakers Scott Horsfall Scott Horsfall is currently the first chief executive officer of the Leafy Green Products Handler Marketing Agreement. Formed last year, the marketing agreement represents the vast majority of the leafy greens industry in California, helping to ensure the highest standards of safety in growing and handling spinach, lettuce and other leafy greens. Scott has extensive experience in the produce industry, having served as CEO of the Buy California Marketing Agreement, president of the California Kiwifruit Commission, and vice president of international marketing for the California Table Grape Commission. He is also a past chair of the United States Agricultural Export Development Council, a past member of the Agricultural Trade Advisory Committee for Fruits and Vegetables, and past chair of PMA's International Trade Conference.
Kathy Means, CAE For more than 15 years, Kathy Means has played an integral role with the Produce Marketing Association, most recently spearheading its government affairs, public affairs, and self-regulatory programs. In this position, Kathy leads the association's efforts in two critical areas: food safety and security. Kathy has previously served PMA in communications, marketing, and customer service. Before joining the association, she was an editor and reporter for The Packer, the trade newspaper for the produce industry. She has been a certified association executive (CAE) since 1996.
